Six sides. One oven. And the turkey's still resting.
You know the moment. The stuffing came out at 4:10. The green beans at 4:25. And the rolls are only going in now.
So the first dish sits on the counter while you carve, while someone hunts for the gravy boat, while everyone finds a chair.
By the time the whole family sits down, the stuffing you made first isn't warm anymore.
It isn't your timing. A dinner with ten dishes and one oven always has a first dish.
So you've tried. Foil works, but it's one sheet per dish, it crumples, it sticks to the cheese, and you tear it off and throw it away. The oven is perfect if there's room. On the day, there isn't.
A warming tray needs an outlet and counter space next to the table. The cooler trick is great for the drive, but it doesn't sit on the table. And microwaving plates at the end happens one by one, while everyone waits.
You don't want another gadget to plug in. You just want the food to still be warm when everyone finally sits down.
Here's the thing nobody tells you
An uncovered dish gives its warmth away from the top, straight into the room.
And every minute it waits on the table, the room takes a little more.
What you actually need is a lid for the table. Something that goes over the dish the second it comes out, and lifts off when everyone sits down.
Meet the food dome
A foil-lined dome that opens over the dish, and folds flat when dinner's done.
Fabric outside. A silver foil lining inside. It sits over the dish like a small tent, so the warm air stays over the food instead of drifting off into the room.
Three easy steps.
- 1Open it. Out of the drawer and into its dome shape.
- 2Cover the dish. The moment it comes out of the oven.
- 3Lift it by the loop. When everyone sits down.
Why hosts keep it in the drawer
✓ Foil-lined, not mesh
A closed dome with a silver lining.
✓ Nothing to plug in
No cord, no outlet, no counter space.
✓ Lifts off by the loop
Reusable, dinner after dinner. No sheet of foil to tear off and throw away.
✓ Two sizes, or a mix
Large for casserole dishes and platters, Small for bowls. Mix gives you 2 Large for every Small.
✓ Folds flat
Lives in a drawer the other 364 days.
Cover one dinner with it. Then decide.

- you host a holiday dinner with more dishes than oven
- your sides come out before the main
- you'd rather reach into a drawer than find an outlet
- you need a dish held at serving temperature all evening. It slows cooling; it doesn't heat anything. A warming tray or chafing dish is made for that.
- you need food held at a food-safe temperature. It doesn't do that. Follow your usual food-safety rules.
- you want to cover a whole turkey. The Large is 6.3 in tall.

1. Pick your size (measure your dish first)
Not sure which size? Measure your dish across, handles included. It needs to be a little smaller than the dome's base. Large for casserole dishes and platters, Small for bowls. Hosting a full table? Pick Mix.

Before you ask.
Can't I just use foil?+
Yes. Foil works too. Ours is reusable, lifts off by the loop, and folds flat until next year. We tested the dome against no cover and a mesh cover, not against foil, so we don't compare the two.
What size is it?+
Two sizes. Large: 14.2 × 14.2 in at the base and 6.3 in tall (36 × 36 × 16 cm). Small: 8.5 × 8.5 in at the base and 4.9 in tall (21.5 × 21.5 × 12.5 cm). It folds flat for the drawer. Allow a little give: it's soft fabric, not a rigid lid.
Which size do I need?+
Measure your dish across, handles included, and pick the dome whose base is a little bigger. Large is for casserole dishes, baking dishes and platters. Small is for bowls: gravy, cranberry sauce, rolls. Hosting a full table? Pick Mix: 2 Large for every Small.
Will a turkey fit?+
No. The Large is 6.3 in tall, so it's made for the sides, not a whole bird.
What's it made of?+
Two layers. Outside: a printed fabric (the green, teal and navy cutlery print). Inside: a silver aluminum-foil lining. There's no frame: it folds flat and opens over the dish.
Why not leave it in the oven?+
If there's room in the oven, do. The dome is for the table, once the dish is served.
Why not a warming tray?+
A tray needs an outlet and counter space. The dome needs a drawer. We haven't tested one against the other.
Is it safe to leave food out under it?+
The dome slows cooling. It doesn't keep food at a safe temperature. Follow your usual food-safety rules.
